Camden loves riding his scooter around and seeing what kinds of tricks he can figure out. One of the boys he idolizes down the street can do cool tricks on scooters and skateboards. We finally bought him the gear to protect his head, knees, elbows and wrists and a little skate board to try out.

Anson started him off walking by him and catching him until he got the feel for how to balance. It didn't take too long before Camden was pushing himself down the street and then jumping off the board and doing little tricks.

The funniest thing was watching him try to do tricks where he would just stomp on the end of the board and watch it flip around. It would flip around and bounce on the ground and he would say, "Whoa...did you see that trick?" with a big smile on his face.

He has fallen a hand full of times while practicing, but the first fall was shocking for him. He jumped and the board slipped from underneath his feet and landed on his knees, chest and wrists pretty hard. You could tell that he was waiting for the pain because he looked like he wanted to cry. I said, "Camden! It didn't hurt did it? It's because you are wearing your pad." He acknowledged with a smile along with a face of relief, jumped up and started skating again.
