What Are You Doing?

So it is 10:31 p.m. at night, I'm checking email while watching a little TV when I look up and see my hubby like this.

He doesn't realize I am watching him when I said, "What are you doing?!?!"

In a normal serious response this is what he said.

"I have to dark adapt my eye so that I can see the galaxy." Embarrassed, but willing to let me take a couple of photos of what I had seen, he walks away down the hallway asking, "Do we have any red flash lights?"

I don't reply because I'm giggling to myself and hear the back door shut. He is off to look for his special galaxy with his telescope.

Anson is defiantly in his own world sometimes, but a very cool world! I might not understand everything that goes on in Anson's mind, but I do know that we need Anson people around. They think differently and figure really crazy and useful things out in the science world.

Very cool. I thought we talked about night vision and "visual purple" (rhodopsin) and the 20 minutes it takes for your eyes to switch from day to night vision when we went camping. We should have gone camping more so we could have talked about rhodospin more...grin.

Sweetheart, you also are in your own world...you see possibilities when others don't. That's one thing I miss about moving.
