It is overwhelming and absolutly amazing how much support Sydney and Emma received from neighbors, our church community and their school community for their Lemon-aid and Goodie stand. The simple concept created by two little girls of selling lemonade for cancer had great results.
Sydney and Emma were able to promote their big event during Sydney's Star of the Week time the day of the sale. They both talked about that they were have a lemonade stand to help fight cancer to find a cure. Each girl made their own flier to hand out to neighbors, classmates and family. Staples was kind enough to donate 120 copies on pink and purple paper for the girls.
Here's a picture of the girls passing out the fliers to their classmates as they are packing up and leaving for the day.
Since school gets out at 3:30 and their stand was to open at 4:00, we had to hussel to set up. Just as we were doing the final touches of setting up their first customer showed up just around 4:00 and from that point on, the supporters just kept on coming.

Our second customers, Jennie Silcox and Lauriane Davies. Thanks girls!
Coach KV from school showed support by buying a glass of yummy lemonade and several strawberries.
Family friends and one of my kids favorite babysitters, McKensey.
Mrs. Hill and Mr. Lewis, 4th grade teachers.
Local EMT's. Thanks Gail!
Look at all those supporters. It was overwhelming and shocking that this many people came out for these two girls and gave so much for the cause.
Mr. Kirchner, 5th grade teacher and his daughter and one of Sydney's good friends Jenna.
Anna Banana! A few more friends that I didn't capture on the camera, Dani, Hannah and Ben.
Mr. Hepner, the school's Facility Director.
Ms. Kaitlyn, school friend and dance buddy.
Several of their classroom buddies. Alaura, Daniela, Crystal, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Ashlyn, Jessica and Haley. Not in the picture, Julia, Christopher and Logan and many more I know I'm not thinking of....
Their teachers, Mrs. Magana.
Mrs. Quintana.
Mrs. Walker. Other teachers Mr. and Mrs. Qualle and Coach Ox.
Phewww...! Once 6:15 p.m. hit the supporters stopped coming and we all got to sit and relax for a minute. It was non-stop for 2 hours straight. Good job!
The girls were able to pack that jar full of money to the top! Unbelievable!
Thanks to Tina, my partner in crime, for her inspiration and dedication to Relay for Life. She is for sure the person who has helped our family become more involved in Relay. Together we barely kept up with our girls today keeping the goodies stocked, cups and making close to 20 pitchers of lemonade. Those girls kept us busy.
The girls were extremely excited to separate and count earnings for the day.
So how did they do? $634.39! Can you believe it?!? Yep...believe it! The number is only going up. After several people reading about the girls event, several friends and family members are sending checks to add to the total making the close or more than $700! Amazing girls....wonderful job! Way to make a BIG difference. Thank you again for all of you who supported and donated to Sydney and Emma's Lemonade stand for the cause. They are absolutely on cloud 9 and couldn't be more happy. Our goal next year.....$1000!
