Dear Sydney,
You were born 8 years ago today at 5:04 a.m. to be exact! I can't believe you are really 8 years old! Look at you...you are growing up! Reflecting back on our labor and delivery day together, I really thought your birthday would never come. Your due date was November 29 and you decided to stay all curled up and warm in my tummy for another 11 days.
I know that the following statement cliche, but really, where did the time go? You have changed and grown so much over the past 8 years. You often ask me to tell you about the day you were born and how big you were. I always tell you that you were 10.5 lbs, 23.5 inches long born with a lot of dark hair and chubbiest face and body. You were born a 3 month old!
We have many wonderful memories of you over the past years. Something I remember most about you is as a baby, you had a super infectious smile and would smile to anyone that would give you a little attention. You have always had the prettiest smile accompanied with beautiful sparkly blue eyes. You love to be happy and positive!
I'm a little emotional today when I think how lucky we are to have you in our family. I forget what an amazing miracle (IVF story) you are. You are the most priceless greatest investment we ever made. The way you were helped brought into this world makes you very unique and even more special to me.
Thank you for who you are! You are one of the most thoughtful, compassionate, kind, organized (my favorite ;), happy, best sister, smart beautiful girl. Sydney, we are so proud of you and love you more than you can imagine.
