Since the beginning of last August, Sydney has been involved with The Academy of Performance Arts. Every Friday she has a 30 minute class where they work on only one piece. This year it is a cute little dance to the song "Return to Sender." The company then performs at different competitions and venues. KARS, Disneyland, Great America and Dance Masters.
Here is a picture of Emma and Sydney at their very first Performance Arts competition. They were both very excited and nervous.

Taylor, Alana, Emma, Sydney, Angelina and Kaitlyn. All the girls except for Taylor attend Sydney's school which makes the practices and events a little more special and fun.
The girls did great after their very first performance. There were a few mistakes here and there since they have not been able to practice on a large stage and spread out. I do have to say how grateful I am that Ms. Holly believes in keeping little girls looking like little girls. Some of the costumes of the other teams were icky. Thanks Ms. Holly!
