Until Next Year!

Halloween is officially over. We had a great time trick or treating last night. Sydney really got into it and loved running ahead of us to the next house. After getting used to the scary houses, she would walk up to the door and say "I'm not scared, trick or treat!" As people would compliment her costume, instead of saying thank you, Sydney would say "Merci. That means thank you in French!" We had to laugh. She picked up the phrase from her favorite book, Fancy Nancy.

Camden trick or treated to several houses, but once he decided he had enough candy he rode in wagon relaxing and eating candy.

I was so surprised to Sydney's request when we got home from trick or treating. She said "Mom, let organize our candy into matching piles." For those of you who know me, (a little obsessive compulsive) I was so happy. I was impressed with Camden also. Once the candy was in piles, he started lining them up in rows. Anson was a little freaked out. I didn't know my kids had it in them.

Once again, great costumes!! The comments about Sydney trick or treating are so cute. And when I saw that last picture I had flashbacks - that's the first thing I did with my candy on Halloween night! Nice piles.

OK, first of all, those are the cutest costumes of 2007.

Secondly, your kids may look like Anson, but they are all "you!" The sorting and organizing just made me laugh!

It could be worse, though. My brother Brian used to organize his and make a bar graph listing each kind and then subtract every time he ate one! He would seriously keep track and know if anyone stole one of his candies. We would also do some serious bartering, "I'll give you two dum dums for one snickers" and that would also be duly noted.

Can I send your kids some graph paper? ;) Kristin

What wonderful costumes, and that is a little funny about the sorting. Just don't give them any money to iron! :) Seeing the piles made me remember when my brother and I used to do that. It helped facilitate the major trading that was about to happen. Lukas went as a little frog for Halloween. Take care!

If they gave awards for the cutest kids costumes in Tracy Sydney and camden would win, hands down! Those were adorable! My friend Tamra saw you that night and she is still raving about how cute the little Hatchlings were.
