I spoke with my dad yesterday and he seems to be doing MUCH better. He was waiting for the results of his fourth CT scan with the possibility of going home in a day or two. It's difficult to receive up-to-date information since they are 14 hours ahead of us. I try to call around 11:oo p.m. here to see how things are going and they are just getting their morning started...so we usually only get details about what doctors have said from the day before. For all we know, my dad could be home in his own bed as we speak. I will find out early evening tonight.

A few weeks back, Sydney's school did spirit week to get all "Spirit Up" for state testing the following week. By the way....state testing for a kindergartner?!?! Wow! Anyway, one of the days "dress up of what you want to be when you grow up." Sydney decided she wanted to be a baker. We threw on an apron, a
borrowed chef hat, a mixing bowl full of cookies for her classmates and a brush of flour on her nose and cheek.

On one of the last days of spirit day for the week was to dress in something that represented the number 900. I guess the school scored 871 last state testing and their goal was 900 this time around. Sydney and Emma wore t-shirts that had 900, YES 900, sequins glued to each shirt. They LOVED them. I know....it seems crazy to do, but it only took about 35 minutes per shirt. They loved their 1800 sequins together.

the shirts turned out cute! did you find out how they did on their testing? did the make the 900?
I'm glad to hear that your dad is doing better and hopefully on his way home. Those shirts are AWESOME! I need to remember that for our 100th day of school....my kids are always needing something like that, and it wouldn't take nearly as long!
