This weekend, Sydney had her dance recital pictures taken. The dance recital day is coming up in a week and she is extremely excited to dance on the stage at the Grand Theater here in town. For the past year, she has talked about dancing at the Grand several times a week.
In the first picture of this post, Sydney is with one of her best little friends from school, Emma. Emma's sweet auntie Mo (Monica) offered to do the girls hair for their recital pictures. Sydney was soooo excited that she was going to have her hair done. She had the biggest smile for the fifteen minutes she sat there getting her hair done.
I was really impressed and liked how it turned out with auntie Mo's work. She did it so quickly. Sydney was THRILLED and said to me, "Mommy, I look pretty. So pretty." She loved, loved, loved how here hair looked.

Hugs and kisses to auntie Mo for doing such a great job and making our girls so happy.
Picture times were behind about 40 minutes, so we took a walk through the farmers market close by and snapped a shot in front of the fire engine.

I was quite surprised how excited Sydney was for her picture day. That smile was worth every minute I spent with her on that day. She was even more thrilled that her hair made it through a nights sleep so she could have pretty hair for church. Honestly, I was shocked that it looked exactly the same. You have to love a tough hairspray!

Sydney you look so pretty for your dance program. Will you call me and tell me how you liked dancing on the Grand stage since I can't come to your program? I want to see the video of your dance.
Sydney is such a fancy girl. I wish I could come and see her perform.
I love it! She looks so grown up! I like their costumes too, they'll look great on the stage with all the glitter and glitz. Can't wait to hear how it goes!
