I was on campus a few weeks back and luckly had my camera with me. I poke my head in to see how my sweet girl was doing and she had a line of kids waiting for her to tie their shoes after P.E.
I guess Sydney is one of the only kids that know how to tie shoes. She told me that she ties "lots of shoes" every day. I asked her if she likes doing it and with a big smile she told me, "Mom, I get to be a big helper for the classroom."
As long as she is happy I guess she will her classroom job is tying shoes for her friends! She should charge 5 cents for her time.....

Interesting. One of my mother's suggested "Kindergarten readiness" indicators was being able to tie shoe laces correctly. She would tell parents children should be able to tie their own shoe before they started kindergarten.
