I got home from the gym on Monday and ran into the house to check an email real quick when I suddenly heard Camden screaming. The kind of screaming you know that something is not right. The kind of scream that makes you RUN as fast as you can. I went out to the garage and saw my sweet little boy with his hand stuck in the car door. The door was completely sealed shut on his hand. Everything felt like it was in slow motion. Camden was trying so hard to yank his hand or arm out of the door, screaming and looking at me with panicked eyes filled with tears. It's that look that never leaves your mind and replays itself over and over in your mind. I opened the door and he just collapsed in my arms. I was so sick to my stomach that I had to force the throw up to stay down. I took him in the house to examine his hand, which I was sure was broken, but with some time and slow movements, he seemed to be fine. He has bruises and a little swelling on three of his fingers.
It still gives me the biggest pit in my tummy knowing he had to wait 20 seconds for me to get there. Twenty seconds was too long....!
Well, I am offically signing off on any injuires and owies for the year! We have had enough for the Hatch family and have taken care of them all in the first month of 2009! 'Til next year...

Wouldn't that be great to not have to deal with any more owies for the year. I hope that's the case.
OH NO! I know your nerves cannot take any more! No more!

We're hoping all the owies are over for 2009, too. The Hatch's are a tough bunch (I seem to remember stories about people surviving being run over by tractors, etc.)!
