Oh no... Sydney's sick.

(This is being written by a very tired mommy so if it doesn't make sense....that's why.)
Sydney's asthma got out of control early yesterday and she ended up in the ER last night. It was a little scary. The doctor's weren't able to get her breathing stable so they decided to admit her to the hospital. When we arrived to the ER her heart rate was 170 beat a minute, it should be 90. She was taking 55 breaths a minute, it should be 20. Her oxygen was 87 and should be 100. They gave her a lot of breathing treatments to open up and relax her lungs, but it didn't seem to be worked so she is now taking oral steroids. The doctor said she will be staying for a couple more days since she is needing oxygen to keep her numbers up.

She is a little wired and crazy from the lack of sleep and medicine. She would like to go home and see her brother and friends.

With the a lot of medicine in her system, a few days in the hosptial, the right kind of food and her mom sitting next to her, she could get a little silly. Her moods would change so quick you never know what you were going to get.

I bet it was a pretty scary moment when you were taking her to the hospital. I am happy to hear that the doctors were able to get her breathing (and other vital signs) back to a stable condition. I hope things get better quickly. Give Sydney a big hug from her Aunt Heidi and Uncle Bryce. I wish I lived closer so I could help the tired mommy.

Poor little thing! And poor little all of you! I hope she's breathing easier and better soon and that you can all get back to "normal." (We always have to use that term loosely, don't we?!) Love, Kristin
