I first want to update Sydney's "flu" (flute) shopping. Last Saturday, I took Sydney to both Target and Walmart to buy a flu for her street performing career. We counted her money and she had enough. Unfortunately, after looking at both stores we could not find a flu. We haven't given up, I know we will find one for her.
OK, now for Camden. I'm sure that everyone has good shopping days and bad shopping days with their kids. Well last Saturday we were at Safeway returning a DVD and the kids were just playing around me and the DVD machine. I knew where they were, but I guess that wasn't good enough. Next to the DVD machine was a lotto machine and a women who had put money into the machine and was looking at her selections. Well....she wasn't quick enough because before I realized what was happening it was too late. Camden ran over and pushed one of the many lottery selection buttons. Let's just say, the lady was not too happy that she didn't get to choose her ticket. Boy, don't mess with lotto people, they are serious about their tickets. I quickly told her I would pay for her tickets....still not happy. After getting the correct change, I bought the tickets off the lady and had Camden apologized again. She had a small smile and told Camden it's OK. We walked away from the situation with a small hope that I had a winning ticket. Nope, we just left with a good story!

I love it. Thanks for sharing the story. I got a good laugh out of it. And yes, I agree, don't mess with those lotto people. : )
Shopping with kids is always an adventure. Some people just don't seem very sympatheic when it comes to children. Especially in California.
Those are the moments when you have to remember that those that have children totally understand and those that don't, never will. Needless to say, I feel your pain! If only the ticket had played out in your favor.
You can sometimes get a used flute at the music store downtown. They often sell them for cheaper than new. Just to let you know.
I'm kind of glad Camden did that. Mean old lotto lady.:)
