He's Just Like His Dad!?!?

Every Saturday Anson helps the kids make pancakes. The kids get very excited and bring their chairs over to the counter to help. A few weekends ago, the kids had their Webkins stuffed animals with them when Anson started the making of the pancakes process. Anson told the kids it would be better if they put their animals far away from the griddle. Sydney said, "Why Daddy?" Anson replied so they don't get dirty or burned by the griddle.

Then Camden asked, "Daddy, so they don't get fire on them, burn away and turn into a gas in the air and disappear?"

Anson was surprised and shocked by Camden's question. Anson told me the story later and I was pretty impressed with his logic and knowledge. Anson asked me where he learned about gases. I can guarantee that I am NOT teaching him science stuff like that during the day. I told Anson that he is just like his daddy. We don't know why Anson thinks and understands the way he does and I guess Camden is the same way.

That is hilarious...I'm sure more questions will come. Hopefully you guys will be able to answer all of them!

Wow, those genes are some strong ones. Maybe Camden can explain to me why!

This is a great tradition...making breakfast together on the weekend.

Sometimes it's a real surprise to learn what children know.
