What Happened?

I walked into the kitchen on Sunday afternoon and found Camden just like the picture below. He was holding a plastic bag full of ice up to his forehead. Since I didn't hear any crying and he never came for help I was very surprised.

I asked him what happened and he said in his teary and sad voice, "I hurt my head playing choo-choo train with Sydney." He wouldn't let me take a picture of his sore right then, but when he moved the bag I saw a huge road rash spot on his forehead. I, of course, turned to Sydney and said what happened? She told me with a guilty face, "I told Camden to play choo-choo train back and forth in the living room on the carpet and it's all my fault," with a very upset face.

I still didn't understand how he got his owie and an owie that I didn't hear (crying) about, so I had him show me. This is what he was doing. Playing choo-choo train by putting his head down on the carpet and going from one side of the living room to the other. His sore is a rug burn! What a goof!
He finally let me take a picture later that day and this is what it looked like. He told me that he is not going to play choo-choo train like that again. Bright boy! He learned the cause and effect of rubbing your head on the carpet.

Here is a picture a day later. It's a pretty good sore, but a sore with a funny story behind it. But if you ask him about it he gets embarassed about it and tells you in a quiet pouty sad voice, "I was playing choo-choo train with my head."
