I had a fun weekend with Sydney this past week. Anson arranged for us to get away to Seattle, Washington. Sydney was thrilled with the idea that it was going to be just herself and mom. She doesn't get too much alone time with much since she is in school all day and with the family on the weekend.

Sydney being Sydney, she worried about missing school on Friday and Monday. Her teacher told her that she HAD to go on the trip with her mom and to have fun. As we flew to Seattle, she wanted to work on "telling time" and writing in her school journal. What a cute little worry bug!

We arrived to Seattle mid day on Friday and headed to our friends home in the rental car. Sydney was very excited to see my loud dark hair friend (Collette) and the little girls with yellow hair (Annalise and Kylie). She has a had time remembering their names since it has been a year since our last visit. Collette's house is
equipped with drums and a piano and Sydney loved playing around with them and learning a few songs when someone would show her.

I'd have to admit that I didn't look at the weather report before we left and was caught off guard when it started to snow. It was COLD! We have both become California weather
whimps....
burrrrrr!

We had to kept up on our breathing treatments even though we were on vacation. Sydney made herself a little spot in Collette's home. The stool, red pillows for comfort and the very cool African drum. The drum was used in a Stake Youth Talent show the night we arrived by the Stake Presidency. One of the funniest and cooliest
performance I have seen in awhile.
