Butterfly Release Party!

It's that time a year again....bug time. Sydney's class purchased lady bugs, prey mantis eggs and caterpillars. It is quiet impressive to watch all the creeping crawling caterpillars cocoon and hatch into pretty butterflies.

So in honor of all the insects that the kids watch grow and changed into their adult lives, Sydney and Emma helped make ladybug cupcakes for their butterfly release party last Friday.

Thank goodness for the extra helping hands. The girls have 56 classmates they wanted to share their yummy treats with.

All the kids gathered and waved goodbye around the butterfly habitat before they were released.
I feel very lucky I get to be involved as often as I am in Sydney's classroom. I love experiencing and being part of the world she is in 7.5 hours a day. Love you cute girl!

So fun! I'm so glad you are the room mom, but if you need to we can "co-op" do it together next year for both rooms! I'm so grateful my girls get to benefit from your thoughtfulness too!
