The following questions from Camden were all discussed in a 5 minute ride home in the car. He quickly moved from one question to the next. This isn't all that was said but covers the main points.
Camden: Daddy, Why is your skin red when it's on your body, but how come is your skin really white?....
Anson: How can you tell that your skin is white? Camden: When you pick off your skin it turns white? Anson explains the difference between dead skin peeling off and healthy skin. Camden: Oh, I see.
Camden: How do you words come out of your mouth when you talk? (Anson explains the whole vocal cord thing)
Camden follows up with: Oh, I get it. You breathe in air to your tummy and then your tummy squeezes back out to make the words.
Camden: I know that ear wax keeps water from getting into your ear, but what else is ear wax for? Anson: Ear wax helps protect the ear and keep it clean. Camden: Oh, how do you hear with your ear? Anson explains a little bit about how sound vibrates through the ear drum and then pushes water in a tube with water and hair cells that tell our brain what the sound is. Camden: Oh, I see (maybe a little confused)
Camden: Why are some toilet seats uncomfortable and hard to sit on? Anson: Which toilet seats do you like? Camden: I like our toilet seat at home, some of the other ones fit funny. Anson: I agree.
That was a whirl wind of conversation with our 5 year old! All I was thinking about was ice cream..... Where are the easy questions like "Why is the sky blue?" That's the only one I have prepared for and the only one he hasn't asked. Seriously, I do not belong in this family.

Trust me, you belong! You really belong.
I would have liked to have been there in person to hear the conversation. He is such an interesting boy. Besides I would enjoy more snuggles from Camden and Sydney.
