Yikes! I Can't Believe Camden Said That?

I had a very interesting conversation with Camden several weeks back as he was holding sweet baby Jackson just a week old.

He looked up at me with his big blue eyes and said......

Camden: Mommy, is Jackson red because all of Liz's blood is inside of him?
Me: Well, ya I guess? What do you mean?
Camden: Is Jackson red because Liz didn't bleed from her bum for along time and it made a baby. Not like you mommy when you have blood from your bum and a baby isn't in there?
Me: Speechless!
Me: Still processing and speechless!
Me: Yes, you are right. Liz didn't bleed for along time and her body made a baby.
Camden: Satisfied with our conversation, he smiles and goes back to looking at every little cute detail on Jackson.

Me: Still in shock and surprised we just had the conversation we had. Camden asked many months ago what the "sticks" are for under the sink. I told him that mommy's use them when we bleed from our bums. He quickly asked, "Why do you bleed?" I told him, "If my body doesn't have baby in it then I bleed." Once you answer Camden's questions and he is satisfied by your answers he moves on and that is that. I never thought at the age 5, Camden would recall our past conversation and figure out where Jackson came from.

Other questions Camden has asked recently.

1. How do you get pictures of real people moving in the TV? He was NOT satisfied with my answer that people are filmed and a cord is attached that puts the people on the screen. "No mom, how do the people's pictures get in the cord?" My reply, "I don't know....ask your dad when he gets home."

2. How do you make glass cups that we drink from? This question comes as we are driving in the car and no glass is in site. My answer: They melt sand in really, really hot fire and then pour it over a mold in the shape of a glass. His reply, "Oh, they have to wear special gloves like daddy's that you use to hold the hot ice (dry ice). Me: "You need to wear even better gloves than those."

3. How does the pedal in the car make the car go fast? My thoughts....seriously, I don't know it just does.

4. While driving in the car with Anson, each time he asks "Why is there always a traffic line at this one (intersection at Corral Hollow and Lammars)?" He gets very annoyed.
