Disneyland did not open until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday so it was easy for us to get there before they opened the gates. We took a ART shuttle from the hotel to the park. When we got off the shuttle, there were of course families everywhere with children. It was fun to see and feel all of the excitement.
Disney had "Welcome" music playing as you walked to the gates. I know with the combination of not being to Disneyland since I was young and taking my kids for the first time, it felt magical even before we got through the gates.

I get excited just thinking about waiting to go through the gates. Everything is in charachter and the rides and atmosphere is so fun. I hope the everyone enjoys themselves
