Since Sydney's birthday fell on a school day, she got to bring a treat to celebrate. We made a batch of chocolate chip cookies to share with her classmates.
Before they sang Happy Birthday to Sydney, Mrs. Walker explained Sydney's birthday shirt to the class. The kids thought there were too many numbers.
After singing, the class lined up and Sydney got to give each friend a cookie. She had the biggest smile doing this and felt very special.

I've been a horrible aunt. One of Brian's aunt's sends a birthday card every year. You always know at least one person will send birthday wishes your way. So, even though this is late...Happy Birthday Sydney!
