What does Anson do?

I get the question, "What does Anson do?" all the time and I really can't answer. Not because it's confidential, but because I don't really understand what he does.

So this is what I do know or think I know!

1. He went to school FOREVER! Total 10 years!
2. He received a PH.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Washington.
3. He works on miniature micro-fluidics stuff?!? Basically on things you can't see without a microscope.
4. He spends time separating certain proteins from blood.
5. He is continually working on making small to miniature tests that can be used to tell doctors about their patients by using a drop of blood or saliva.
6. He spends ENDLESS hours writing papers and grants using really big words with A LOT of syllables. I basically only understand 1% of what he writes and that is generally the words "the, and, of, etc."

Please do not hold me to this list or Anson. I could be wrong or not completely understand what he does. He recently brought home the brochure below from a conference he did in New Orleans.
This is one thing my hubby has worked on......

Not too often I get to see what he does, but it looks like he has been working on something!

Wow, that's pretty cool. Anson, must also have a pretty cool wife who supported him through all that school! It's pretty neat to think that someday someone's problem will be solved as fast as can be because of Anson.

Thanks for the Lab-on-a-Chip information. It's nice to see the finished product and read about the applications and numerous benefits. Lots of interesting information plus a photo of Anson in a lab coat. . . a really great post.

Wow, your husband is so "smart." You have to imagine that special voice saying that. Good teamwork you two. Together you'll raise wonderful children and save the world.
