Camden gets frustrated?

Anson was making a scooter stand for the kids today out of a 2 x 4 and using a hand saw to cut out a notch for the wheel to hold the scooter. Camden was intrigued by the process and kept asking Anson if he could use the hand saw. After several attempts of trying to get the hand saw started in the marked spot, Anson got frustrated, stopped trying and said under his breath, "Ahh...This is dumb. Not the way to do this. I need a skill saw and a work bench."
Camden said with a big sigh, "Daddy, I know how you feel." Both Anson and I glanced at each other surprised by his statement. It was very observant and sympathetic of Anson's situation. Camden had picked up on Anson's frustrating moment. Anson had to take a peek into his little head and see what memories Camden was reflecting on. Anson asked what makes him frustrated and he said, "Things I'm working on that don't work." They talked about how it can be frustrating when Camden works on projects like the marble track when it doesn't work quite right or a stack of blocks falls down. The interesting thing about Camden's comment to me is that he very seldom seems frustrated when he is working on difficult things. I have watched this boy learn to scooter by practicing over, over, over again at the age of 2. Spend hours completing a 100 piece puzzle. Sorts money and buttons for fun. It must be an internal frustration that I've never seen because I'm always impressed with his focus and persistence to complete difficult tasks. He never gives up!
