Teacher Gifts for the BEST Teachers!

**I am still catching up on a few posts that I haven't had a chance to do so since school has been out.

I absolutely LOVED being room mom for Sydney's classroom this past year. Not only did I get to be a part of Sydney world away from home, I had the awesome opportunity to get to know and love Sydney's teachers. These three amazing women were a joy to work with and I am so thankful that Sydney had them in her life.

So when the end of the year was coming to an end, it was a no brainer that these women deserved the best to say thank you for all of their hard work and love they provided day in and day out to all of the kids in the classroom. With a small donation from the classroom kids, we were able to put together a "Thank You" package for each teacher.

The day before the last day of school, myself and several other moms had arranged a little "Thank you and Farewell" program for the teachers. We had the teachers step out of the classroom for 10 minutes while we got everything ready. The kids were SO excited to be apart of the "Thank you" surprise! We had each child leave a blue hand print a big yellow poster board with their names that read "You left an impression on us!" And since it was Mrs. Sansavor's last year teaching for now (she's going to be a stay home mommy to her little cute 8 month old Taylor), we bought a dozen orange carnations. Her favorite color!

When the teachers came back into the room the kids yelled, "Surprise!" The teachers we all so happy and became a little emotional when they read the yellow poster. Each teacher was escorted to a seat by one of the boy students who became a little embarrassed holding their teacher's hand. Our first gift was a spa gift certificate so the teachers could take some "time" for themselves.

Our next gift was a photo book with a picture of each child and a quote of what they like about the year. The teachers loved their books and the sweet quotes from each child.

Next, we surprised them with a slide show DVD that played Mrs. Sansavor's favorite songs from the Curious George track and pictures of the years events and activities over the past year. Thanks to my friend and co-coordinator of our "Thank you" surprise, Tina, she was able to get a few pictures of Taylor, Mrs. Sansavor's daughter, to put at the end of the slide show to wish her well and to enjoy mommy world. All of the gifts were recieved well and loved by each teacher.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Sansavor, Mrs. Magana and Mrs. Walker! I can't tell you enough how much Sydney loves and cares for each of you. I am so grateful that Sydney had the opportunity to have such loving, caring and dedicated teachers. What a great example you are to her. You each "Left a Impression on us," our family.
