My Turn!

Ever since I have been a little girl, I have always wanted to learn to play the piano. Well I finally took the plunge and signed up for lessons. It's something that I can do for myself. Something different. Something that has nothing to do with exercise or cleaning which are two things I do for myself and enjoy doing, but something that is challenging in a different way.
My personal goal is hoping to be good enough in 1.5 - 2 years able to play all songs in the primary song book and be the primary pianist sometime in the future. I have really enjoyed my lessons. It is like learning a whole other language. My only complaint is that my dumb left hand will not do what my brain tells it to do. I also feel like my brain is going to explode trying to remember that the little dots on the sheet music mean ABCDEFG and that the ABCDEFG notes correspond to the white keys that all look the same on the piano. I know I will win!

I am lucky that I am learning right along with my cute little Sydney. She is doing so well and also loves playing. I am a little jealous in the since it seems like the learning curve is coming a little easier to her than me. Her left hand does what her brain tells it to do...lucky girl!

Oh my Lora these pictures bring tears to my eyes and a smile to my lips. I'm so proud and happy for you and Sydney. I know you'll both be wonderful pianists. I always try to listen when either of you practice.
