Today is Halloween and Sydney's kindergarten Halloween party. Since I am the room mom, I had the privilege of coming up with six different activities/crafts for forty kids. It was too bad and I had a lot of parent help. I know that Sydney was excited that I was going to be there that day.

Mrs. Walker, one of Sydney's teachers, told me the day before the party the kids were not being good listeners so she mentioned that they might not get to have the party if they don't start obeying. She told me that Sydney raised her hand and said, "My mom has a lot of fun things for us to do and if we don't make a good choice, we won't get to do the projects." Mrs. Walker said that Sydney was very convincing and played the leader/
disciplinary quite well.

The Halloween party started about 1:30 p.m. I decided I better dress up so I through together an outfit up and glued spiders to my arm, neck and face. I had several worried
kindergartners that were worried they were real and would not believe me until they were up close and touched them. To start off the party, I decided that I would tell the kids their future (what they would be doing for the party.) Since I forgot to bring my crystal ball, I told them I brought the ingredients to make my own.

It was so fun to watch all of their faces and the room was so quiet. I started by adding hot water to the bowl, followed by some dry ice. Next, I had to add my secret ingredient to form the crystal ball.

Once the special secret potion was added, the crystal ball began to form. There were a lot of
ewwwws and
ahhhhhs.

It
continued to get bigger and bigger as I told them their activities.

After about 30 seconds the
crystal ball got as big as it could and fell to the side and popped! The kids, parents and teachers loved it! It was
definitely a hit!
