Mom...I made jam!

My friend Liz told me that she decided to make strawberry jam the other day since the strawberries were on sale. She inspired me to do the same. With a lot of pointers, thanks Liz, and the right tools, thanks Melanie, I made jam! I did it and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. The jam tastes good, looks good and every jar sealed. Yeah me!

Daughter...As always,I'm very proud for you. We'd love to have Saturday morning breakfast with you and share a few pancakes and jam. Looking at the picture and reading your discription really makes my mouth water.

Love and best wishes from the Tropical Island Paradise-complete with heavy rain one day, dirty dusty roads the next, stiffeling heat and humidity every day and really fast 4" spiders, creepy 3" cockroaches and lizards ramdomly dropping from the ceiling most days.

Love Mom

PS: I started making this years Halloween decorations. I've had Rick (our driver) helping me buy paper pumpkins, black paint, electrical supplies, and lots of other stuff. I think your dad is really glad Rick is so willing to help. I'll send photos in a few more days. The home owner's assoication says we should expect about 350 trick or treaters...we'll see...don't think there are that many children in the area.
