Let me start off that Sydney had a wonderful first week of school and LOVED every minute of it. When I asked her what her favorite part of school was she said, "EVERYTHING!"
I have few quick stories....First one. As Anson was giving Sydney a ride last Friday to school, Sydney said stressed, "The teachers told us that we can't come to school for two days. We have to be home." She was not happy that she would miss school for two days. We had to tell her it was because of the weekend and kids and teachers do not go to school on Saturdays and Sundays. She listen, but didn't like they idea she was going to miss two days.
Second story. So today I picked up Sydney's friend, Emma, from school since both parents were working late today. I sat with them at the kitchen table while they had a snack and asked about their day. They told me that they ate their lunch too slow so they could play. They also told me that they meet two new girls and that they were their friends. My favorite and most shocking story, is that they told me that a boy named Jake was spotlighted today and that he is "so cute and handsome." with little sparkles in their eyes. My mouth dropped. My sweeet 5-year-old little girl thinks a boy is cute? She told me that he wore a blue shirt with words on it today and brown shorts. She also told me all about his hair, the color and style. Yellow hair that goes around his ears and short like Camden's. They ended the conversation again telling me that he is "so cute!" with big smiles. She is a pre-teen already?!?!
