Tomorrow is Sydney's official first day of school as a kindergartner. Wow....It is finally here!
1. Sydney picked out her back pack and school supplies. It has been very important for her to find the "perfect" pocket for each item. I'm sure she will change their locations again before tomorrow.

5. Received a father's blessing.
I don't think there is anything more we can do to get ready for her big day tomorrow. I hope I am ready! My tummy has been tickling for the last few days and I haven't been able to sleep for the last two. She is going to do great! And so am I....after three or four days, right? Love you Sydney!
To prepare:
1. Sydney picked out her back pack and school supplies. It has been very important for her to find the "perfect" pocket for each item. I'm sure she will change their locations again before tomorrow.
2. Picked and laid out her "first day of school" outfit. She wanted to wear the one with the zoo animal on it. For the life of her she can not remember or say the word flamingo, but she LOVES her flamingo outfit with the reversable skirt.

3. Had a special meeting with her teachers regarding her asthma and allergies. Her teachers are so sweet and glad to meet with us. They asked me if I would be the Room Mom. I said yes!
4. Packed her lunch with a cheese sandwich on wheat "brown" bread, chocolate milk, grapes and goldfish. I also snuck in a little love note and a couple of starbursts for a little surprise.

Good Luck Sydney and Lora! We want to hear about that BIG First day as soon as it is over!
Time goes so swiftly. It seems like just yesterday that Sydney's daddy was going off to his first day of school. I wasn't nearly as prepared as Sydney and her parents are but it was still a memorable day. Anson was so ready to start his official education. We walked into the classroom together and he surveyed his surroundings for only an instant and decided that they were okay. He stepped forward to greet his teacher and said a quick goodbye to me. Maybe I was almost hoping that he would shed a tear of sadness that we had to part but there was no such hesitation. So I turned and walked out of the room and cried all the way home. My little boy grew up way too fast. I am sure that Sydney will have a great experience. Good luck, Sydney. I hope you will all enjoy the journey through her education. You are in for some good times!
Wow, as a fellow Mom I am on the verge of tears. She must be over the moon and I can only imagine how you are feeling. Sydney is a great kid and will be super star, no doubt!
Wow - big day! I love how you've documented everything here. Good luck to you both! :)
